The Toshiba website has Atheros drivers for 64 bit.
www.csd.toshiba.com, click on Download, then Satellite P500-ST6822, Windows 7 64 bit, WiFi and it should appear as the second one in the list. Let us know if it does the trick.

Ok, I downloaded the Toshiba drivers, but when i ran the program it extracted the files, ran the tinstallwb.exe, and nothing happened.
I also have this same sort of issue but a different way really. I had windows vista premium 64 bit on my hp notebook with the atheros 5007 network card and i did a clean install to windows 7 home and didnt back up any of my files. Now my wireless is
not working and wont even turn on.

If you use and pay for a program that identifies and gets the latest drivers there is an newer QUAL COMM ATHEROS DRIVER version 10.0.0.227 dated 2-19-2003 available that also works.
I recently upgraded the operating system on my laptop from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit. Everything has been working great except my wireless connection, which I am thinking is a driver issue. My download speeds are fine, but I keep getting bursts of upload
lag. This never happened until i upgraded to the 64 bit operating system. I have checked all of my connection settings and hardware settings, and I have made sure that there is not interference that may be causing it or other regular issues.
I have Searched all over for drivers for my Atheros 5007 wireless card I am currently using the Vista 32 bit driver, but have not found one for a 64 bit system. On the HP website I was only able to find drivers for Vista 32 bit I have heard Vista 64 bit
drivers would work, but the HP website links the Vista 32 bit driver for the 64 bit as well, and other sites such as the Atheros webpage don t have the drivers listed at all.
Any help finding the correct driver to use would be greatly appreciated.
